Make the low bit useful.
A sloping ceiling makes the edges of a loft room the hardest place to put furniture and the best place to hide storage. Our stepped pieces follow the roof down, so there's no dead space behind a too-short unit.
Start from one of these.
Each one opens ready to design. Change the sizes to yours.
Knee-wall storage
Cupboards against the low wall of a loft room, cut to the angle of the roof.
Storage under a slope and a flat ceiling
Full height where the ceiling is flat, stepping down where it slopes.
Gable apex storage
For a gable wall where the roof slopes down on both sides to a point.
Gable storage with a flat ceiling
For a gable wall with a flat ceiling in the middle and slopes on both sides.
Stepped shelving
Open shelves that step down under the stairs or a sloping roof.
Stepped cupboards

Cut-to-the-slope storage
Shelves and cupboards cut to the exact angle of your stairs or roof.
Measure where the roof meets the wall.
- WidthThe length of wall you want to use, at floor level.
- Height at the tall endFloor to ceiling where the slope starts, or where you want the storage to start.
- Height at the low endFloor to the slope where the storage stops.
- DepthHow far into the room you want it to come.
Made for your roof, not an average one.
Every roof has its own pitch and every loft conversion its own knee wall. Pieces made to measure step down with your slope, and each section is as tall as the roof allows.
My roof slopes down towards the wall I want to use. Can you help?
Yes. That low wall is a knee wall, and our knee-wall storage has its sides cut to the angle of your roof.
What about the end wall, where the roof slopes down on both sides?
That's a gable wall. Our gable pieces step down with the roof on one side or both, with or without a flat ceiling in the middle.
Will it get up my loft ladder?
It arrives flat, so the parts go up one at a time and you build it in the room.
What if my walls aren't straight?
Most aren't. Measure in three places and give us the smallest. For a fitted piece we take 50mm off so it slides in, and send infill panels to close the gap.
Can I see the colours first?
Yes. Our sample pack has our colours and a cut edge, so you can see them in your own light before you order.
